I mean, it literally replicates itself on your computer, and makes it extremely difficult to remove. I have tried several suggestions up to and including changes to the registry. Norton isn't "antivirus" it is the virus. I cant get norton security scan to uninstall. Note that you must first end the process tree FSDUI_Custom.exe, else you won't be able to delete some of the folders above, since they would contain a process that is running. I have licenses for McAfee so decided to install it on this computer. MacOS has a built-in antivirus solution called XProtect that can detect and remove malware. I dont know how it ended up on this computer but I think it was part of a whole package. For a few month now (on and off) I have been trying to uninstall Norton Security Scan with no success.
